Baruch College Presents: Anna Rabinowitz’s Words On The Street

Baruch College presents Words on the Street, a book-length poem and mystery by Anna Rabinowitz transformed into a multimedia hybrid performance. “An infant is abducted and the seven deadly sins play out their power struggle while pandemonium reigns in a dystopian world.”  The performance runs 10.26 – 11.4. Ticket prices are $16-$51.

Words on the Street was developed by writer Anna Rabinowitz, director Kristin Marting, video designer Lianne Arnold (As One), and composer Matt Marks and includes performances by acclaimed soprano Lauren Flanigan (Seance on a Wet Afternoon) and John Kelly (The Echo Drift).

Anna Rabinowitz is the author of five collections of poetry: Words on the Street, Present Tense, The Wanton Sublime: A Florilegium of Whethers and Wonders, Darkling: A Poem, and At the Site of Inside Out. She has also written two librettos for her collections The Wanton Sublime, a mono-drama for mezzo-soprano, and Darkling, a chamber opera.
