Cullen is forced to deal with this utterly unexpected issue as it resounds within the rm and, eventually, within his personal life. e novel peels back the sheath of respectability that cloaks the law rm and explores its institutionalized bigotry and the internal dynamics of the partners’ con icting ambitions and values. Eventually Cullen nds himself enmeshed in litigation in which he represents a client he detests.

Lewis Segal has been a practicing lawyer for most of his adult life, primarily as a corporate attorney. Currently he is a member of the rm of Outside GC [General Counsel] LLC – Attorneys. Born and raised in New York City, Lew settled in Hartford, Connecticut, after graduating from Yale Law School. He has been married to Shirley for 57 years and they have two grown children and two grandchildren in college. Lew is currently writing his second novel, which has nothing to do with law.
